I project managed the engagement side of three displays that form part of the newly developed World Stories: Young Voices gallery at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. I worked with Dorothy Stringer School on an animation exploring the objects from the Arctic, with young people from a local Mosque to create a display and accompanying film about Islam in Brighton, and with a youth group from Whitehawk to write and record some poetry responding to items from Ancient Peru. The project involved working closely with curatorial staff as well as with a variety of external agencies. A project highlight for me was managing a trip up to London with about twenty young people from the Mosque. We visited the Islamic World gallery at the British Museum and then went shopping for new acquisitions in East London.
