Projections over the entrance to the Royal Pavilion
In 2013 I project managed a collaboration between the Royal Pavilion & Museums and the London-based digital artwork studio SDNA, who were installed in Brighton Museum for a week-long residency. The week culminated in an evening of spectacular projection mapping illuminating the outside of the Pavilion in swathes of colour alongside images taken from the Chinoiserie wallpaper inside, almost as if the dragons and other creatures inside had come to life and crept out through the windows to crawl all over the stonework . The occasion marked the opening of the Turner in Brighton exhibition, incorporating designs worked on by students from Dorothy Stringer School as well as from participants that dropped into the gallery during the week. It was an exciting project which helped pave the way for future projection mapping events at the palace, despite the November wind and rain!
