I was recently asked by the Royal Pavilion & Museums to oversee some audio visual content for their new Constable and Brighton exhibition, exploring the painter’s time in Brighton.  The main chunk of work was a three minute film exploring the delightful coincidence that exhibition curator Peter Harrap now lives (and paints!) in the very house on Sillwood Road that Constable lived in in the 1820s. The film was supplemented by a beautiful projection piece you can see as you walk into the space and an audio recording of one of Constable’s letters which is available on a sound point. I enjoyed finding out more about Constable’s artistic process and being allowed to have a  good nose round Peter’s (lovely!) house. It was also good to be able to work with Made Better Media on the project, who I share my Kemptown Office with! Constable and Brighton is at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery until the 8th of October 2017 and is proving very popular – take a look!
